Birkhill Castle has been newly renovated by the family, and now offers a beautiful selection of 15 bedrooms with space for up to 34 guests, each elegantly designed for modern expectations.

The dedicated nursery can sleep 6 with two children’s bunks and a further two beds. We can also offer cots and highchairs for the youngest members of the family.

Our accomodation

First floor bedrooms

  • Birch Suite

    Located on the 1st floor with a 4 poster bed and amazing views out onto the garden and the Tay River. Comes with a single bedroom next door and its own bathroom with shower.

  • Birch Suite Single

    This single is attached to the 4 poster double room. There is a bathroom attached which is shared with the double room.

  • Beech Suite

    This is a wonderful room on the 1st floor full of character and very fitting with the castle. The late Prince Philip used to stay here on a regular basis. There is a dressing room/single room within the suite, both rooms share a bathroom with shower.

  • Beech Suite Single

    A sweet little single attached to the Beech double room. Both rooms share a bathroom.

  • Willow Room

    This king room on the 1st floor comes with ample storage and views out onto the Tay. It has a private bathroom and two large wardrobes.

  • Oak Room

    Situated on the 1st floor, the Oak room is a spacious bedroom with lots of closet space. It is directly connected to the Nursery making it perfect for any parents who want to be closer to the little ones. It is also joined with the Sycamore double and shares a bathroom with it.

  • Nursery

    Our nursery is on the 1st floor and can sleep six children in 2 bunk beds and 2 pull out beds. We can also provide cots and high chairs for the youngest members of the family. There is direct access into the Oak Room for any family members who want to stay closer and a separate shower room across the hallway.

  • Sycamore Room

    This is one of our smaller doubles which is situated within the 1st floor lower tower. Enjoy the beautiful rounded walls and doors and gaze out onto the grounds outside. This room shares a bathroom with the Oak Room and can be closed off as a separate area.

  • Maple

    Northerly aspect with views over the Tay and woodland. There is an en-suite wit walk-in shower and free-standing bath.

  • Cedar

    This is a king size room with its bathroom on a mezzanine level across the corridor.

  • Bathrooms

    Our Bathrooms are finished to a lovely standard with beautiful taps and tiling. Some of our rooms offer double showers and stand alone baths to allow you to have the most luxurious stay.

  • Chestnut room

    The Chestnut Room offers ample space with lots of storage and has it’s own large en-suite bathroom with bath. It is located on the 2nd floor.

  • Rowan Room

    The Rowan Room comes with lots of storage and brilliant views onto the lawn. The drawings on the wall showcase different areas within the estate to take you back in time. It has an adjoining bathroom with both bath and shower and is located on the 2nd floor.

  • Hawthorn Room

    The Hawthorn Room is a bight double on the 2nd floor with lots of storage and has a private bathroom beside it with large shower.

  • Pine Room

    Located on the 2nd floor, the Pine room is one of our smaller doubles but has lots of character. It has a shower room opposite it for private use.

  • Cherry Room

    The Cherry Room is incredibly bright and spacious with wardrobes and bathroom opposite it with bath and shower. This room can also be made into a twin or remain as a super king and is located on the 2nd floor.

  • Hazel

    This is a twin room with a private bathroom with bath.

  • tower room

    The Tower Room is south facing and has views over gardens and woodland.

    It has double height ceilings and private access to the external tower which has panoramic views out over the estate and beyond.

    It has a private bathroom with bath across the hallway.
