other courses to try
Elie Links Course
Elie is a classic links course set in the East Neuk of Fife. It has beautiful, panoramic sea views and is open all year round.
The town of Elie is also a lovely place to stop for lunch and have a wander through the quaint streets. It is only a short drive from St. Andrews and both places can easily be combined to create a great day out.
St.Andrews links
St. Andrews New Course is the oldest ‘new’ course in the world and was designed by Tom Morris in 1895. The course makes for a challenging game with undulating fairways and tricky greens.
It is very much understated and not to be passed on too quickly. Birkhill Castle is only a short 30 min drive to the clubhouse so you have full flexibility on when you decide to visit.
There are of course, other incredible courses to play at St. Andrews Links including the most iconic golf course in the world - The Old Course. We can place you in the ballot for this but it is very much down to the luck of the draw! The Jubilee Course, Eden, Strathtyrum and Castle are also great options so you are guaranteed to have a great day even if you miss out on The Old Course.
