Birkhill has played host to all manner of gatherings for generations. Nestled in the Fife countryside, just over an hour away from Edinburgh, the estate is conveniently situated in Central Scotland. The castle and grounds are available for exclusive-use only, offering guests total privacy for parties large and small. Birkhill regularly accommodates large branded events and intimate dinner parties alike – the team is here to help you design experiences that will stay with you and your guests for a lifetime.
Birkhill Castle really comes into its own as a place for families and friends – old and new – to come and spend meaningful time together. The Castle’s sprawling footprint, familiar service, and rolling grounds make for a place that feels both homely and extraordinary.
Between bedrooms in the castle and the stables, we can sleep up to 36 people in great comfort. Throughout your group’s time with us, our friendly butler is on hand to ensure wishes are met, and everyone is happy. The castle is home to large spaces – perfect for everyone to get together – as well as smaller nooks for quieter times (or clandestine breakaway parties…).
Our team is on hand to help you make the most of your time with us – be that organising your catering or planning trips away. Each gathering at Birkhill is highly personal, and entirely bespoke.
Birkhill has hosted some truly memorable branded events over the years, from 20 people to 200 people. The castle is well equipped for at-scale commercial catering, with excellent back-of-house facilities to match the myriad front-of-house hosting options. Our ballroom and glasshouse can both host up to 50 people for dinner, or you are welcome to set-up your own outdoor or marquee space for larger groups. For more intimate corporate retreats, the castle is perfectly suited to small dinners, large workshops, and breakout breakthroughs.
The castle welcomes a small number of couples each year to celebrate one of the most special days of their lives.
