Birkhill Castle hosts a small selection of weddings each year on an exclusive-use basis. Each wedding is unique and special, with full use of the 1,500 acre grounds, garden, and castle. Couples can enjoy myriad spaces to host their ceremony and celebrations, both inside and outside.
We can seat up to 50 guests in either our ballroom or our glasshouse. For more intimate celebrations and elopements, our dining room makes for a truly special backdrop. Alternatively, for larger weddings, we are happy to host a marquee in our grounds.

What we offer
Full Service
Exclusive use of the castle and its rooms, sleeping up to 36 and seating 40 to 50 in the ballroom, with an award-winning chef and full staff for the length of your stay. On-site castle managers help plan and arrange your days, a butler attends throughout, and catering — the wedding day included — is provided (ingredients are charged seperately). The grounds are yours to enjoy: estate walks, the beach, walled garden, tennis court and outdoor pool. Parking, tables and chairs for up to 50, and all crockery, cutlery, glassware and linen for 36 complete the arrangement.
Self-catered
For those who prefer to shape the day in a different way, this package offers the venue with the freedom to bring your own caterer and staff. We’re happy to share a list of recommendations if it helps. Use of the ballroom for dining and dancing, tables and chairs for up to 50, house fireplaces laid ready, and electricity provided for music and catering. A designated parking area and basic daily housekeeping are included throughout. Catering, alcohol, chef, staff and all crockery, cutlery and glassware are supplied by you.
