The Home of Golf

Birkhill Castle is placed perfectly for giving you the chance to try your hand at playing some of the best golf courses the world has to offer. We can help to arrange tee times, caddies, restaurant reservations and travel back and forth to the castle which means you can fully enjoy your golfing experience.

st andrews links

St. Andrews New Course is the oldest ‘new’ course in the world and was designed by Tom Morris in 1895. There are of course, other incredible courses to play at St. Andrews Links including the most iconic golf course in the world – The Old Course. We can place you in the ballot for this but it is very much down to the luck of the draw! The Jubilee Course, Eden, Strathtyrum and Castle are also great options so you are guaranteed to have a great day even if you miss out on The Old Course.

gleneagles

Gleneagles is the number one golf club in the UK and Ireland and has three championship courses; Queen’s, King’s and Centenary. Hire top brand equipment, use the incredible clubhouse facilities and spend an afternoon trying your hand at your choice of course.

carnoustie

Carnoustie Golf Links is home to ‘Golfs Greatest Tests’ which you can play at your leisure. The championship course will challenge your skills and make for a great day of golfing. Birkhill Castle is 45 mins drive away through the city of Dundee and along the Angus coast.

kingsbarns

ladybank – our local hidden gem

Ladybank Golf Club is a lesser known Old Tom Morris Course and was designed in 1879. The spectacular inland course offers a unique golfing experience in Fife that will not leave you disappointed. It is an open-qualifying course and was recently ranked number 2 in the UK for under £100 courses which is a great achievement for the club. Birkhill Castle is situated only 20 mins drive from the club via some of Fife’s greatest scenery.

elie

Elie is a classic links course set in the East Neuk of Fife. It has beautiful, panoramic sea views and is open all year round.
